Fabric & Care Guide

Our sarees and ethnic wear are crafted from some of India's finest textiles. To preserve their beauty and longevity, please follow the care instructions below.

Silk Sarees (Kanjivaram, Banarasi, Tussar)

  • Dry clean only for best results.
  • If hand washing, use cold water with a mild detergent.
  • Do not wring or twist — gently press out excess water.
  • Dry in shade, away from direct sunlight to prevent colour fading.
  • Store wrapped in a soft muslin cloth.

Cotton & Linen Sarees

  • Hand wash in cold water with a gentle detergent.
  • Machine wash on a delicate cycle is acceptable for plain cottons.
  • Iron on medium heat while slightly damp for a crisp finish.

Georgette & Chiffon

  • Hand wash gently or dry clean.
  • Avoid soaking for extended periods.
  • Iron on low heat with a pressing cloth.

Embroidered & Zari Work

  • Always dry clean embroidered pieces to protect the threadwork and zari.
  • Store flat or rolled — avoid folding along embroidery lines.
  • Keep in a cool, dry place away from moisture.

General Storage Tips

  • Refold sarees along different lines every few months to prevent permanent creases.
  • Place neem leaves or cedar blocks in your wardrobe to deter insects naturally.
  • Avoid storing in plastic bags — use breathable cotton or muslin covers.
